Schedule of Events for Wild West Days

 

Thursday, July 3

10:30 a.m. - Kids Scavenger Hunt for ages 8-12 (Meet at  Farmer Union Insurance Office)  

5:00 p.m. - Rodeo Slack performance plus mutton bustin at the rodeo grounds (southeast of Faulkton)

7:00 p.m. -  Karaoke Challenge at the Short Stop Bar (Registration from 7-8 pm)

Evening -  DJ Entertainment at J&J Bar

 

Friday, July 4

7:30-9:30 a.m. - Pre-Parade Breakfast, Faulkton Masonic Hall 

10:00 am - Wild West Days Parade (contact  Virgie Wagner 598-6636 or Linda Kathner 598-4496 for parade info)

Following Parade -  Barbecue at City Park

12:00 p.m. - Corn Hole Tournament at the Short Stop Bar. Registration from 12-1:30 p.m. Starting at 1:30 p.m.

5:00 p.m. - 20th Annual Rodeo First Performance.  Additional entertainment includes Rodeo Clown, Duane Reichert, and Mutton Bustin.

8:00 p.m. - Movie at the Lyric "Kung Fu Panda"

Evening -  DJ entertainment at the Short Stop Bar

Evening - DJ entertainment at the J&J Bar

10:30 p.m. - Fabulous Fireworks display at the Ball Park

 

Saturday, July 5

9:00 a.m. - Co-Ed Softball Tournament at the Ball Park. Contract Andrea Geist (605)216-7110 or Brittnay Hlavacek (605)530-1394 to play.

11:00 a.m. - 20th Annual Rodeo Second Performance.  Additional entertainment includes Rodeo Clown, Duane Reichert, and Mutton Bustin.

3:30-5:00 p.m. - Faulkton Area Medical Center Foundation ice cream social at the corner of  8th Ave. and Court Street

5:00-7:00 p.m. - Wild West Days Car & Motorcycle Show in downtown Faulkton. Registration begins at 2:30 p.m., judging for prizes and trophies, music by Blue Horizon, 7:00 Parade of Cars

Following the Car Show - Wheelbarrow races in front of J&J Bar

7:00-9:00 p.m. - Faulk Co. 4-H Carnival at the 4-H Grounds.  Game & Activities for Children and Adults

8:00 p.m. - The Faulk Co. Historical Society will host a program at the Pickler Mansion.  Joanita Kant will portray Margaret Wylie Mellette, South Dakota's first lady.

8:00 p.m. - Movie at the Lyric "Kung Fu Panda"

8:00 p.m. - Open Air Dance at The Steak Out. Music by "Thirty-Two Below"

Evening - DJ entertainment at the Short Stop Bar

 

Sunday, July 6

8:00-8:30 a.m. - Registration for 2-person 18 hole scramble golf tournament at Lakeside Country Club. Tournament starting at 9:00 a.m.

9:00 a.m. - Ecumenical Church services at Our Savior Lutheran Church with Pastor Rob Nedbalek delivering the message.

8:00 p.m. - Movie at the Lyric "Kung Fu Panda"
